Faizabad → Baharak → Ishkashim

Ishkashim → Qala-e-Panj

Qala-e-Panj → Khandud → Sarhad-e-Broghil

Sarhad-e-Broghil → Borak → Chaqmatin Lake
From Sarhad-e-Broghil continues the journey eastward via Borak, a small Wakhi settlement, after which we enter the otherworldly Little Pamir, home of the Afghan Kyrgyz. Arrive in the Bozai Gumbaz region, identifiable by its unique domed tombs and stark Pamir plateau. Photography: desolate plateau, Kyrgyz encampments, camels and yaks against huge skies.

Little Pamir: Life Among the Afghan Kyrgyz
Full days living among the Kyrgyz nomads. Opportunities to visit yurts, observe daily routines, photograph herding, milking, and family life—with sensitivity and permission. Explore lakes, seasonal pastures, and caravan trails used for centuries. Optional hike or horseback excursion deeper into side valleys. Little Pamir → Return Drive to Qala e panj

Qala-e-Panj to Ishkashim
