The Wakhan Corridor in northeastern Afghanistan is a mountain destination that requires a different style of planning from a city tour. WCS has worked on conservation in the Wakhan landscape, including the protection of mountain wildlife and the creation of Wakhan National Park.
Our published Wakhan itineraries range from road-based journeys to trekking routes. Compare the time spent driving, walking and staying in villages before choosing. Some travelers want a cultural introduction; others are looking for a longer mountain journey with a guide and support team.
